SNR -"Oh Say Can You See" 4th of July Blog Hop

Happy Independence Day and Welcome to My Small World!

I'm so glad you could join the SNR Card Universe "Oh Say Can You See" 4th of July Blog Hop! If you came from Karen Murray's Blog at Karens Escape you are on the right track! If you didn't you may want to hop to the SNR Card Universe and start at the beginning.

I made a special card for today and I have a short and simple tutorial on how to achieve the background that I did.
Supplies:
Glossy White Cardstock
Stamps
VersaMark
White Embossing Powder
Stonewashed and Denim Alcohol Inks
Silver Mixative
Alcohol Blending Solution

1. Stamp the star images on the glossy cardstock, cover with the embossing powder, shake off excess and heat set.
2. Add several drops of the Stonewashed and Denim Alcohol Inks to the felt applicator and dab on the glossy paper.
3. Add the Silver Mixative to the pad and dab over and around the blue inks.
4. Finally, add the Blending Solution to the pad and blend all the inks to your liking.
5, Trim down the finished piece and mount it to white and red cardstock.
6. Stamp with sentiment with VersaMark and emboss with the white embossing powder. Mount on white and red cardstock and add to the card front along with red ribbon.

This next card was made using the July Sketch from My Sketch World.

Here are a few more things that might inspire you!
